The first week of this year starts with a quiet situation at the olive oil market. Buyers and sellers are calmed.
Prices keep on being more or less the same that the previous week: 3,45 €/kg. for the lowers qualities, (lampante olive oils), 3,50 €/kg. for virgin olive oi. The other hand, prices going from 3,55 €/kg to 3,60 €/kg were for the best quality extra virgin olive oils.
As it is known, Spanish olive growers started their yield relatively late this crop year, and many mills are not even working 100% of the time due to rainfalls, so the stocks are being enough.
